Truth is delicate

Happy New Year! 

It's been a while since I've updated here because I've been sidetracked by work, health stuff, and other projects. I have been continuing to work on my tkrb fics though!

So here's what's going on: 

• Chapter 1 of new tkrb fic is done. Chapter 2 is halfway done. I'll be sending a few scenes to a very talented friend to make sure everything is coming out ok. I've wanted to write this fic (and these two characters!) for so long. I've been putting this fic off because I've been so nervous I won't execute it as well as I want to. Finally, I gave in and started working on it. I'll probably start posting it once Chapter 2 is done and Chapter 3 is underway. That shouldn't take too much longer, unless I decide I need do any major reworking in my editing process.
• I have another exciting tkrb fic mostly outlined. I know how the fic is going to end and the first four chapters are outlined. I'm just working on planning the middle out in more detail.
• As I've mentioned, I've been drawing again for the first time in 8 or 9 years. I started again in July. November and December were a little spottier with practice because I was feeling like trash in November, and the holidays kept me busy in December. Now I'm back to a more regular drawing practice. I'm still much too inexperienced and shy to share anything, but I am seeing progress! Which is exciting :3
• As soon as my wallet starts to recover from medical bills, I want to get back into some cosplay stuff I had been working on. I'm also working on improving my sewing and design skills.

Hello~ 

I have been using my Dreamwidth for private entries that I use as to-do lists and such. Recently though, I decided that I'm going to start using it to share more updates, archive my fics, etc. I'm working (slowly) on cosplay stuff, so once that's closer ready maybe I'll be brave enough to share process here. I'm also getting back into other forms of creative work, so we'll see where that goes! Maybe I'll even start RPing again at some point. I haven't done that since 2012ish? 

Another exciting thing I'm working on nailing down is... a NEW JOB! I graduated in May, but I've been really torn about what direction I want to go with my career. I'm working on deciding between two different (but both excellent!) routes. I know which one I'm leaning towards at this point, it's just seeing if I can work out all the details of getting started. On the path I'm working on, start up will probably be a little slower than the other choices, but I see it being the most fulfilling long term. That long term goal is super important to me given that I've been working a really difficult job for a few years now that has no growth opportunities or anything of the like. But fingers crossed everything works out!

A less happy note is that I spent the last 3 days in the hospital due to a medical crisis. I won't go into a lot of detail here. Just that: I'm on the mend, but I'm still rather out of sorts. My sense of time is strange,I'm drained, and the medications I was sent home with have some icky side effects. But! I'm very happy things went as well as they did given how badly the situation could have gone. This event kind of put me behind on my writing and creative work, but as soon as I feel less fuzzy, I'll get back to work. :3

Anyway, I should be using this account a lot more now so I'll probably send out the link on my tumblr and ao3 soon. I think the next post will be a sort of archive page for my fics. ^^
